John Pususta Fish Carvings
Realistic Decorative
In order to capture realistic detail in his carvings, John will make a mold and then a casting of an actual fish. Along with photographs, measurements, and the casting he is able to capture the physical detail in his creations. Many carvings shown below are from actual fish caught by the artist. All fish are carved from either Tupelo or Basswood. Habitat such as rocks, grass, sand and even the worm shown in the mouth of the Montana Brook Trout are all carved from wood. All work is signed and numbered by John.
